Small things, planted with love.

The Arabic root ha ba ba gives two words. One is hubb, which is love. The other is habba, which is a seed. The name sits on that connection.

There is no shortage of material. There are apps, printables, flashcards and a thousand accounts posting a narration on a pretty background every morning. Almost every Muslim parent teaching at home has a folder of it, and almost none of them have used it.

What is missing is not information. It is the order, and the words to say. Somebody has to decide what a six year old meets first and what can wait until March, and somebody has to write down what a nervous parent should actually say out loud at nine at night when the child asks a question she was not expecting.

That is the work these books do. Everything else follows from it.

Each term is written as two books that are used together. The child’s book carries the chapters and the artwork. The parent’s guide carries the reason for each week, the lesson word for word, the anchor, the questions for the table, and what to do when that week does not go to plan, which is written into every week because most weeks do not.

Every term is read by a qualified scholar before it is printed. Every verse is referenced, every narration is graded, and what has been deliberately left out is listed at the back with the reason.
